Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, popularly known as SGT University, was established in 2013 under the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act No. 8 of 2013. The university operates under the parasol of the Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, which was founded in 1999 with the mission of propagating the message of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji — "spread of learning is the best service to mankind". The seeds for this magnificent institution were sown in 2002 with the establishment of the SGT Dental College, Hospital and Research Institute.
